Do you find it annoying when your Tomatoes don’t ripen ? Do you love Chutney ?

Don’t worry there are plenty of delicious uses for green tomatos including this delicious easy to make chutney. Its a spicy chutney and it works brilliantly with a curry or with cheese.

Green Tomato Chutney

500g Green Tomatoes (sliced)

500g Onions (sliced)

250g Raisins

250g Brown Sugar

2tsp Salt

1 tsp Cardamon

1 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1 tsp Ginger

500ml Malt Vinegar

To make the chutney:

Put all the ingredients in a large saucepan.

Bring to the boil.

Reduce the heat and simmer for one hour until reduced to a thick pulp.

Spoon chutney into clean sterilised jars. Enjoy
