I absolutely love pizza it has been my favourite food for as long as I can remember. My three children have all inherited the pizza gene and little Wonder Girl learned to crawl towards a pizza box (ok that may possibly not be true but it emphasises my point nicely so what the heck).

Unfortunately my pixies tell me that pizza is not always the healthiest option in the world, especially not take away pizza. So a solution had to be found, for guilt free pizza eating. So I have adapted a bread recipe and learned to make my own pizza which has no salt, additives or calories (ok perhaps some calories) of any kind.

Pizza Dough.

350g strong white plain flour.

7g easy blend yeast sachet.

2 tablespoons of olive oil.

225ml warm milk (or water)

Pizza topping.

Tomato puree.

Mixed herbs.

Mozzerella cheese.

How to make your own pizza;

This recipe will make 3 pizza bases, either 12 inch thin crust or 8 inch deep dish.

MIx the dough ingredients together. Knead for ten mins and put back in bowl and leave to rise in a warm place for around two hours or until the dough has doubled in size.

Divide the dough into three roughly equal amounts and using a rolling pin on a floured surface roll to desired thickness.

Spread each base with tomato puree and sprinkle on mixed herbs.

Cover each pizza with mozzarella cheese.

You can top your pizza with whatever you fancy, ideas include;

mushrooms, pineapple, onion, pepper, sweetcorn, goats cheese, olives.

Coat each baking tray with olive oil to prevent sticking. Then put the pizzas on them.

Cook at 160 degrees celsious  / 320 degree farenheight for around 25 mins.

Enjoy your pizza, yum.

It was so yummy we didn't remember to take a picture until it was nearly all gone !
