Last week Wonder Girl and I attended a special blogger tour of the new Kiddicare shop which has opened up in Bristol at Cribbs Causeway. Kiddicare have a history of selling online. They have opened ten new shops across the country and the Bristol shop opened last week.
The first thing I am struck by when I enter the shop is its size, it’s enormous. We are taken on a tour and I don’t think there is anything you could want or need for a baby or toddler that you couldn’t find here. I’ve never seen such a large collection of car seats, pushchairs or highchairs all in one place.
Kiddicare aim to make shopping for and with young children as easy as possible. It’s little things like the system for buying a car seat. You type your mobile number into a keypad and then you can carry on shopping and they will let you know when someone is available to help you. The safety gates are all out on display in a safety gate walkway so that you can really get to grips with how each gate works. Lots of small things to help you navigate the confusing array of products available for babies and toddlers.
After our tour we head to the in store cafe for some much needed cake. Whilst I tuck into my cake Wonder Girl has a play in the cafe play area, another example of Kiddicare really considering what parents need from their shopping experience. Even the toilets are designed with children in mind as a cute little persons toilet sits alongside the adult toilet in every cubicle.
Finally we visit the community room. This room will hold regular classes, events and is also available to hire. Today we are taking part in a music class put on especially for us. Wonder Girl gets stuck in and really enjoys singing and dancing to some of her favourite songs.
Kiddicare is absolutely a one stop shop for parents with children under five. If you’re not in Bristol you can find other Kiddicare shops here.
*Disclaimer: I was invited to a blogger tour of Kiddicare in order to write this post.
It really is quite some store, sounds like they put on a great day for you. Leo really loved those mini toilets too 🙂
It’s nice that they did different sessions for the different groups. I’ve heard a local sling meet may be looking at meeting there – that would be wonderful. Hopefully means more parents will hear about babywearing as I’m sure this will be frequented by most new parents in Bristol.
I loved this place when it first opened but the staff seem to get ruder every time I go in.
When I went to buy my 11mo a new car seat the man serving me was so patronising! I asked what the safety ratings are for each of the seats and he shrugged and said they were all pretty much the same! Just what you want to hear when buying something that could one day save your child’s life.
They need to train their staff properly and teach them some manners!
