“Is it an eagle? Is it a plane? No it’s Underpants Wonderpants to the rescue again!”
This week I have read Underpants Wonderpants by Peter Bently and Deborah Meimon a total of 8 times, and it’s only Thursday. This book incorporates most of Robo Boy’s favourite things, superhero’s, aliens, and saying underpants, a lot. So in the Purple house this children’s book is a definite hit.
Underpants Wonderpants is about a dog who saves the day in a variety of situations using, yes you guessed it, underpants. It’s written in rhyme and has a nice rhythm to read out loud. It’s illustrated beautifully. Underpants Wonderpants joins other children’s books with a pant based theme, such as Aliens Love Underpants, and The Queens Knickers, which I thought may be a bit repetitive. However as Robo Boy has proven there can never be too many children’s books with pants as a plot line. It’s published by Parragon Books and costs £5.99.
