“No! This cafe is MINE!” Shouts Kitty and hides the teapot in her tent.
This month Parragon books sent us a copy of Mine written by Sarah Hammond and illustrated by Laura Hughes. The main focus of the book is collaborative play and sharing. The main character is a little girl called Kitty who’s playing nicely on her own. When her friend arrives to play with her playing together proves a little tricky for Kitty to adapt to. This is a particularly apt story to share with Wonder Girl who, like many toddlers, doesn’t like sharing.
It’s beautifully illustrated and the story is simple and easy to follow and understand. I’d say ‘Mine’ is ideal for girls aged 2-4.
