Last week I took Wonder Girl for a walk at Westonbirt Arboretum so that we could say goodbye to autumn. It’s a wonderful place to visit in the Autumn as the trees display their rusty leaves. Now, as autumn ends, the leaves were mostly on the ground for us to kick about in, the last few remaining on their branches as the final countdown to winter.
We searched the woodland floor and collected precious acorns.
We found patches of sunshine and danced on the crunchy, rusty, leaf covered floor.
We said goodbye to autumn, and welcomed in winter.
Beautiful! I really wanted to make it over during the Autumn but just too busy. We’re looking forward to Westonbirt’s Enchanted Christmas though.
Yey, it’s really wonderful. I’m hoping to get there too.
Lovely pictures xx
Thanks
Gorgeous photo’s, Westonbirt is gorgeous we are planning to dedicate a tree to my sister there. I have a mental block of doing it and therefore yet to visit Westonbirt since moving as planned this Autumn.
Seeing these photo’s does make me want to sort out the stuff that feels so hard x
It’s really a beautiful place. I’d recommend a visit to their enchanted Christmas over the next few weeks, it’s really lovely, especially for older children.
looks so beautiful
we have been maming the most of the leaves while they are still around to walk though and pick them up and throw them over one another. such fun. I love Wonder Girl’s all in one suit – that looks perfect for this time of year and i bet she loves the one on one time with you.
gorgeous photos – those red leaves and the acorns in her little hand. love it x
