The Night Before Christmas

‘Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse’

The Night Before Christmas was first published anonymously in 1823, then attributed to Clement C Moore who acknowledged authorship. Now nearly 200 years later it’s become a classic Christmas poem read to many children, including the Purple children, on Christmas Eve.

We received this copy, as Parragon book buddies, to review. It’s illustrated beautifully by Henry Fisher. The illustrations really bring the story to life, the story responsible for many of todays ideas about Father Christmas. Reading this is a lovely way to keep the magic alive for adults as well as children.
