We had a wonderful Christmas day this year, filled with love, light and laughter. There was lots of love, big love all round from all the family, and extended family that we were lucky enough to spend time with this year. There was light, feeling blessed to be here and appreciating everything we have and hold dear. We laughed, at the children’s antics, at each others jokes, and at the surreal moments that always occur when the generations drink, mix and share merry together.
Under our tree there were tiaras and Nerf guns, Hexbugs and Playmobil. I even got a wonderful surprise with three new charms for my Pandora bracelet, and a wonderful new watch, in Purple of course.
It was a wonderful moment witnessing Wonder Girls absolute joy upon discovering that Santa had brought her the Doc Mcstuffins talking doll that she had so longed for.
She knew what it was as soon as she spotted it under the tree, before she’d even unwrapped it. Then when she opened it she squealed the most excited squeal I’ve ever heard her make.
After the unwrapping, myself and the children went to church, which was filled with people and more joy as we celebrated the birth of one very special baby. I’ve been keeping pretty quiet about my new found faith, but this Christmas was all the more special for it. Possibly more on that later, if I find the right words.
Then over to Purpledad’s Mum, and Grandma and Grandpa extraordinaire for lunch with the extended Purple family. Here we all are.
It was a wonderful day, one to remind me how precious my family are, and how much love we all share. Of course mainlining cheese and chocolates may have added to that cosy glow as well. Where ever and how ever you spent your Christmas this year I hope it was a good one, and of course Merry Christmas to you all.
it sounds like you all enjoyed wonderful day with lots of special loved ones . Jenson was like Wonder Girl with his Raa Raa dvd and monkey hat!! I loved seeing my two get excited about the presents they unwrapped some of which they had hoped for and others they did not. And I love WG’s pretty purple tiara!
Merry belated Christmas to you all and wishing you a new year filled wth continued love, happiness and fun x x x
