“Milton had many things on his mind and a lot to say. The trouble was he couldn’t get anyone to listen.”
This month Parragon Books sent us Hold That Thought Milton by Linda Ravin Lodding and Ross Collins. The story of a little boy called Milton who’s having trouble getting his family to listen to him. The trouble is they’re all busy with plans for Auntie Lulu’s wedding, so when Milton’s frog Burp goes missing, and he can’t get anyone to listen, he starts to turn green.
The story is a good reminder to us adults to make sure we listen to the children in our lives, otherwise we may end up covered in green goo! The illustrations are great, very cartoon like and comical. I would say that ‘Hold That Thought Milton is best for children aged four to eight.
