Tomorrow the children break up from school, and the very next exciting event on our horizon is Camp Bestival 2014. In just 10 sleeps. I am very excited. Each week I receive announcements from the Camp Bestival team about new things to see and do, honestly I’m at the point where one more exciting email could lead to my spontaneous combustion!
The National Trust are going to be there with a 50 things meadow. Activities in the meadow including making wild art, climbing a tree, rolling down a really big hill (which happens to be one of my favourite things) and making a grass trumpet.
Skylanders will be returning this year, and festival gamers will have the chance to be amongst the first in the UK to play the new game Skylanders Trap Team. Also returning are Disney with a revamped fire truck and activities to promote their summer movie ‘Planes 2 Fire and Rescue’.
I’m excited to hear about the Big Top Cinema Sessions, every morning, offering a wide selection of family friendly cinematic offerings. For the first time Camp Bestival have invited short film experts Directors Notes to curate a unique and varied daily family program. As a lover of all things cinema I’ll enjoy this.
There’s going to be so much exciting, interesting, unique and wonderful stuff happening to see, do and experience at Camp Bestival 2014. It would take me so long to tell you about it all that I might not get packed in time. So that’s all from me for now, though I’ll be trying to update my social channels whilst I’m there so follow me on Twitter/Instagram or Facebook for the live reports. Of course I’ll also be filling you in on what happened, after the event, and I may even use my new video editing skills (ahem) to make a little film for you.
