Wonder Girl had her fourth birthday last week. She’s been a fan of Doc Mcstuffins for over two years now so it was no surprise that she wanted a Doc Mcstuffins cake. I decided to challenge myself to make a Doc’s medical bag cake. I had a little help from Kath (Dreaming of a craft room) who taught me about frozen cake carving, and a super icing/clingfilm technique. I’m really pleased with how it turned out.
We had WG’s party at a soft play centre who provided the food, and entertainment. But for those of you planning a party at home I decided to collect together some of my favourite ideas from Pinterest and blogs for a Doc Mcstuffins party.
Doc Mcstuffins party ideas collection;
The first step in party organisation is to send out invitations. I loved this idea I found on Pinterest, and I know my little girl would be very pleased to receive this invitation.
One of the main challenges with a themed party is food. This post from We Heart Parties has some amazing ideas. Including very cute plaster biscuits and, my favourite, thermometers made from dipped breadsticks.
Next up is entertainment. I love this idea from My Crazy Blessed Life for a giant Doc Mcstuffins operation game. I know WG and her friends would have great fun playing that. I also found a really unique idea on Melissa Alani for a Doc medical bag instrument hunt. A party game that’s educational as well as good fun.
I found this great resource on Delicate Construction. A collection of Doc Mcstuffins party free printable. Including cake toppers, food labels, thank you labels and water bottle labels.
Finally I found this lovely idea for party bags on Pinterest, all you need is purple boxes, glue and glitter. Alternatively if you’re not feeling crafty I found a free printable box you could use on Family Shopping Bag.
I think there’s some fantastic ideas here which would please any little Doc fans. Happy planning and I hope you have a brilliant party.
