Me time, a rarity in a busy household of five. The reality is that life is busy, each day filled with essentials, not so essentials and oh look I’ve got a bit of time to play Candy Crush. A block of ‘me time’ is hard to find. So I prefer instead to grab little moments when they arise, cherishing the indulgence and moving onto the next school run.
I had such a moment last week. I was invited to HomeSense to see their Christmas range, and indulge in some nibbles and blogger chat. Me time.
I enjoyed some nibbles and the chance to meet a few more ladies from the Bristol blogging scene. Then I got to do some shopping.I was gifted a £25 voucher to spend in store, so this was guilt free shopping (lucky me).
I was surprised at how far that money went in HomeSense. They sell most things for the home, as well as having a yummy food selection which is like a culinary Aladdin’s cave. I was pleased to pick up a bunt tin so that I can make a chocolate, almond bunt cake I’ve been obsessing about for a few months (it’s a long story). I also got some foody bits, chutney, and a couple of sweet treats. Finally I picked up a purple Le Crueset pot which is perfect for storing cooking implements on my kitchen countertop.
I enjoyed my ‘me time’. Thank you HomeSense.
