I love Christmas, and I hate that my chronic illness can get in the way of my celebrations. I have hypermobile ehlers-danlos syndrome a connective tissue disorder. It causes pain, fatigue, digestive issues, and other unpleasant symptoms. I’m learning to enjoy Christmas in a way that works for me. So today I’m sharing my chronic illness tips for Christmas.

If you or a loved one has a chronic illness you will want to know how to handle the conflict of symptoms interrupting festivities. In this videos I’m talking about;

  • Fatigue.
  • Food sensitivities.
  • Medications.
  • Asking for help.

I share my ideas for managing these issues whilst enjoying Christmas. Most important of all is to do Christmas the way that works for you. Don’t feel pressure to do something which will make your symptoms worse, just because it’s Christmas. Have a very merry Christmas and please share this with anybody in your life who might benefit from these tips.

Last weeks video is my tips for autism and Christmas.

I found this post in Metro useful for chronic illness and Christmas.
